Oh, so Michigan gets the benefit of the doubt, and time to evaluate a prospect, but Ohio State doesn't get similar treatment to do the same?
He suffered a torn meniscus in his HS final. OSU kept with his commitment, allowed him to come to campus to enroll early and only upon meeting with team doctors did they cut him from the team. No, it's not the same at all. He was literally on campus and was planning to enroll early. He was a different injury than he suffered earlier in 2013 which was an ACL tear. OSU knew of the injury and told the player that he probably just couldn't participate in spring ball. They kept him on and at the last minute, when it was obvious that they didn't have room, they cut his scholarship.
On top of that, he transferred to Auburn and is a full participant in everything -- he's fully healed.
So, no, it's not the same.
