Hope everyone is having a safe and fun NYE, just chilling at home watching the Times Square and Nashville performances with the GF but it was also Pucky Jr II's 12th birthday so we celebrated that as well. Double edged sword with his birthday on NYE, on the one hand it's hard to throw a party because people already have plans but I tell him hey dude the whole world celebrates with you.

This year was rough through about August, lots going on in my personal and work life but it got better around August. Glad it's over though and looking forward to 2025, wishing my derelict hockey board family a prosperous and healthy one.

My year was 50/50, I took a job estimating instead of running crews, I miss being in the field hands on but my new job is so easy I feel like im stealing....plus im never hot, cold, wet, muddy, dusty, in a ditch, on a ladder, breathing construction dust and fumes, dont have a 100 dudes giving me excuses as to why they cant or wont do their job.....so ya thats pretty ok. I am missing out on probably 150k overtime (some of these big jobs are insane hours right now and 7/12's on differing rotations) but I do ok still.

Wife started having some health issues thats led to depression, so thats my "fix it now" for this year...unfortunately thats partially dependant on healthcare foing their job.

Anyways Happy New Years to all of you, I hope the next year brings you eveything you want.

Happy new year to you all. 2024 was a bit of a down year for us financially. Wife works for LA County so she is stable but I am in sales and it was a bit of a down year. Wife is finishing the year and starting the new year with that nasty cold thats going around.
Hopefully 2025 will be better. I saw a meme that says 2025 starts on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday equalling WTF. LOL

Will pray for healing over your wife physically and over the depression OT. Maybe you can get her to speak with someone to help her through it.
