They weren't too different from like warmup pants today - but flashier material, a little tighter, and they had lots of random zippers on them (not even with pockets inside if I remember right). For about one year, they were the shit.

Al Iafrate... what a character. You've got to wonder what kind of numbers and career he would have had if he wasn't busy smoking Marlboros in the locker room and chasing tail until 3:00AM every night before games.

Much like the Weber-Chara discussion, Iafrate had the hardest slapshot in the NHL, but Big Mac had the harder in game slapper. Still, you couldn't pay me to jump in front of an Iafrate one timer.
