This day in 2007 we had a huge celebration
Eight years ago Perlman came out from his rock,

Every year a poem is written in happiness,
Pederson was fired which stopped the madness
Eight years have gone by and Husker nation is still broken,
Despite all that, today we all come together and be one
Eight years ago we celebrated our freedom,
Ruling over our program was a lying demon
Saving us from the evil was what we needed,
One choice of replacement couldn't be defeated
Nebraska was where Steve was born and bred,
Show up here again and he might wind up dead
Under his reign we started our downfall,
Callahan was a terrible hire that loved to say football
Kicking that jackass to the curb was long overdue,
Steve Pederson, thank god you are gone and also FUCK you
