I don't think he'll be retiring for another 7 years. Call it a hunch.

So we want him out because of one bad start to the season? What about when he carried this team for 8 years?

I never wanted him out, if he is not going to win (play better than he has currently) then he needs to give Talbot his minutes so the Rangers can have a higher percentage of opportunities to win, nothing wrong with Hank as back up but at the same time Talbot has to win his games, Hank hasnt been on his game thus look at his record

I understand that, but teams will eventually start to figure Talbot out. If every backup goalie who came into the league took over a normal starters job, we would see new goalies every year. If Cam was ready for the work load they would have given it to him, but with Hank and his new contract, it wont be happening anytime soon. The guy is and always has been our franchise player, not just gonna sit him because of a rough start.

You might be right. Rookie goalies don't have much of a scouting report. Might be why Martin Jones is looking so dominant as well. Once the scouting report comes out we get an idea of what these goalies are really made of.

Happens all the time, it's why most remain backups throughout their careers, some guys make a career out of it and there's nothing wrong with it.

Yeah, especially when it comes to Flyer goalies.

And none of them could make it as a full-time starter. Could you imagine if Leighton got a big contract after that Cup run? No way he plays the way he did, whole team was hot as a whole, not just Leighton. I'm glad you agree with my side of the argument.

IDK about Leighton, he might have had a chance if not for the back injury, or if he didn't play for the Flyers.

Think he just got hot at the right team, team as a whole did. Backed into the playoffs on the last day of the season after beating us in a SO in Philly. Just got hot.

I think he was one of those guys who would be really dominant one game and a total sieve the next game. Really what he lacked was consistency. IDK if he would've made a reliable starter or not, but he's for sure done better than every Flyer starter since.
