I'm actually shocked:omg:

Not so much that Bettis got in, or that Warner, Holt, or Bruce didn't... But Orlando Pace was a HUGE snub, IMO.

While in agreement with all as to the Rams being snubbed. It didn't really surprise me. What does surprise me is passing on Don Coryell. I mean the guy changed the game. Who is not running something of his? And the list of coaches spawned from him is endless. Pace defined a position and Greene has more sacks than LT. :L I guess they don't fit in the NFLs nice neat little box.

They better make up for it next year and put in Warner, Pace and Greene.

Greene has 60 more sacks than Haley.
Bettis averaged fewer than 4 ypc.

Any evaluation should look at All-Pro teams made, MVPs, and historical numbers. Greene is third all time in sacks (since they started recording them). Seau and Andersen were regulars on the All-Pro team. Pace and Shields were also there multiple times.

This voting criteria and methods have come under criticism for awhile now and this year is pretty blatant. When you leave out people like Green, Warner, Pace, and Coryell in favor of Bettis and Polian, things are awry.

Are we going to have another deflate-gate only this time in voting procedures for the Hall? The members voting must have gotten together in Colorado and bought some good shit to help them decide or so it seems.

It took Cris Carter a few years to get in even though only the great Jerry Rice had more receptions, yards & TD's when CC called it career. Pace will get in, no doubt about that. Maybe next year?

I have no words for how bad the voting process is.

Pace and Warner will get in eventually. I think its actually fair to make Warner wait a year just due to the nature of his career but he is too essential to the NFL product to not make it.

I'm kinda worried about Bruce. He is a surefire HOFer in my book but he is going to have to deal with players more famous than him every year.

What a joke!!!! If Pace isn't a 1st ballot HOF'er, nobody is. He was one of, if the THE most dominant LT of his generation. Just shocked he didn't get in, I thought it was a lock.

Pace was the MUCH bigger snub. I had no problem with the rest of the class, all long over due and Seau was a mortal lock. My issue was Shields over Pace. Made ZERO sense. Not saying Shields is not deserving, but not over Pace.

If the group would have been Seau,Pace,Brown,Bettis,Haley and the rest I would have been VERY ok with it.

I had the same problem. Shields was a hell of a player, but Pace played the toughest position on the OL and was a pro-bowler year after year. How does an OG make it and the best LT not? Just an absolute joke....

Kevin Greene should have gone in instead of Bettis. Other than that, I am with the Commish and LongtimeRamsFan on this issue.

Agreed. Of the players that DID get in though, Shields was the 2nd most worthy IMO (behind Seau).
