I'll say this much, if the Leafs have a lot of nights where they create as many opportunities as they did tonight against goalies who aren't Superman, they might be a more entertaining team to watch than I thought.

I think the Leafs won the Corsi battle tonight.

Lots of time on the puck, lots of opportunities, nobody to bang it in.

Might change against a more average goalie; might be the norm for the season. If they lose most of their games in that fashion I won't mind it.

It's only one game, but I hope that everyone who was saying that Carlyle and coaching weren't the problem with this team shuts the fuck up after seeing that, for one night at least. That game looked nothing like Carlyle hockey. I was especially happy that Jake looked like Jake again

It's really an instant difference. It's almost as if they actually had a plan to get into the other end of the ice rather than get to the red line and huck it at the boards.
