I really dont care if we have an odd number of players... i dont think it matters as much in dynasty... even in H2H...

We have not yet set the amount of owners but we need to start moving...

H2H points won the battle... so lets start talking about how we want to create the points...

Here was @TKOSpikes original Proposal for us to start with...

Batter
Single 1 point
Double 2 points
Triple 3 points
HR 4 points
Run 1 point
RBI 1 point (so yes, a solo HR would be 6)
SB 1.5 points
BB 0.5 points
KO -0.5 points

4-4 with four solo HR = 24

Pitcher
KO 1 point
BB -0.25 points
Hit -0.25 points (any hit against, single->HR)
IP 0.5 points
QS 2.5 points
W 3.5 points
SO 3.5 points
Run -1 point (earned or not)
L -2.5 points

Perfect game with 10 K’s = 24

What's just a perfect game? Or does it have to be a perfect game AND 10 ks? for 24 points? If that's the case I don't like that as you should get 24 points for a perfect game regardless of how many Ks you have

I think Runs should only be if EARNED (losing 1 point) Half a Point loss for an unearned run

my proposal

Offense

Hits- 1.75
BB-1
XBH-2
HR-2
SB-1.5
Runs-1
RBIs- 1
AB- -.5
KO- -.75
GIDP- -1.5

Pitching

IP=.5
RELIEF IP=1
SO= 2
QS=3
W=3
CG=5
Saves=5
Holds=4
BB= -2
Hits=-1
Runs=-1

Pitching IMO needs more amendment than hitting...

I actually think we should talk about roster size before scoring... Because it needs to be near equal between pitching and offense...

well, it was baked into it. A perfect game consists of all the points gathered (and avoided minuses) of everything.

9 innings = 4.5
Shut Out = 3.5
Win = 3.5
QS = 2.5
10 Ks = 10 (I just chose that to show the equal comparison to the 4-4 hitter)

plus the PG extra is not losing points on walks or hits or runs.

but yeah, was just a starter board

Yes. Roster size is important, as is daily vs weekly lineups.

Wasn't trying to call you out just didn't truly get why the 10 Ks were put in a perfect game but I understand it now. How many perfect games have also had 10 ks or more?

when it comes to offense, I like separating it by H, XBH, HR...

Hits and XBH is basically universal stats that all types of players can get and you don't need a HR hitter to get them... allows every type of player to stay valuable...

That is why I like to use Total Bases and then do Hits separately.

no pressure. Call outs welcome. :)

just explaining that the 10 k is irrelevant. I only used it to compare to a hitter’s “perfect game” (I realize homers would be perfect, but I would assume 4-4 is more relevant for a comparison... though perhaps I should have used “hitting for the cycle”)

and to add... my thoughts are the top hitters should be somewhat equal to the top hitters.

I think the other options listed are doing that as well.

this doesnt use relievers no holds or saves and should have both so all pitchers can be used
