Why would any coach want to become the DC for the Redskins? It is a no win situation; with expectations to perform without much talent. Until we upgrade the DL and have better players across the board, I am not sure how we can expect the Wade Philips of the world to want to come here.

And this is why at the End of the day Greg Manusky will end p being our DC. For him its actually a promotion and a pay raise to become our DC.

Pettine, Bradley were technically demotions, Wade would have been a lateral move from the penthouse to a luxury suite on what might turn out to be Titanic 4.0.

Right now this team has entirely too many what ifs for us to have a good shot at getting one of the "Good" DC candidates every one s clamoring for.

Also might add, its not like you are asking a guy to just add 20 minutes to his commute for a job he might only have for a year if the HC gets fired. You are asking a guy to move his family here in most cases, Alot goes into this kind of move.

I truly hope we would have conducted the process in a different manner if we could have a do over.

At the end of the day the lack of talent is on SM and the choosing of the piss poor coaches is on Gruden.

And I could not care less about the interview process. The interview is a formality for heavens sake. I am sure Billicek would bomb his interview as he is not a people person. The rumors of Phillips falling asleep and Pettine not interview well means nothing to me at all. Remember Jim Zorn blew his interview out of the water and duped us into hiring him. Interviews really mean nothing in my book.
