Redskins coach Jay Gruden confirmed Kirk Cousins will start against the Cowboys, but that this snaps are "still to be determined."

Reading the tea leaves, it sounds like Gruden is going to play his starters only a few series in a meaningless game. That makes Cousins, DeSean Jackson and Jordan Reed no-gos in DFS. Matt Jones (hip) will likely be inactive.

Because he wants to keep his QB in something of a rhythm AND although the game has no bearing as far as us going to the playoffs, you still want to play to win.

Why?????

Dean, momentum is a fleeting thing. When you have it, you do everything you can to keep it going. Jay knows this so he wants to see the first team have a couple good drives to keep that feeling going. You can't underestimate how important momentum is in sports.

I happened to spend a lot of time in the car today and had the radio on. Cousins wants to play to stay in rhythm. Trent, Hatcher, Goldson and one or two others would be happy to have the day off. They are vets and it might not be as big a deal for them. Supposedly a lot of starters want to play and so they can keep their edge and momentum.

Dallas has a lot of people out. The guy to watch for; Hardy ... he gets an extra half million for 2 more sacks and I believe I heard an extra million for 4 sacks.

With key olineman out KC health is on the line in this game. Momentum for a couple drives doesn't mean anything in a meaningless game. The risks out weigh the rewards in my opinion.

I'm a bit uncomfortable having KC play if Trent isn't. Especially if a guy like Hardy has a half million incentive and no care about stoping the run or setting the edge.

I think you could have just stopped with "he has done nothing". That makes me worry. He is an unknown quantity going against a known quantity who is highly motivated and focused to achieve one thing, sack the QB.

I'd probably prefer we rest kirk reed desean and a few others but it doesn't seem like they should be out there too long. And I'm glad to see trent will be resting.
