I always thought football was an "infectious" game but this isn't what I expected....

A third Tampa Bay Buccaneers player was diagnosed with a MRSA infection, the team announced Friday. And there is the possibility that Sunday's Bucs-Eagles game could be postponed.
NFL.com reported that cornerback Johnathan Banks is the latest player infected.
Kicker Lawrence Tyens and guard Carl Nicks were previously diagnosed with MRSA, which is a type of staph infection resistant to some antibiotics.
After missing the first two games of the season, Nicks came back and played in two games before he was diagnosed with a recurrence in his left foot Thursday.
Tynes and Nicks were first affected in August. Fox Sports first reported that an infectious disease specialist is working with Nicks to control the latest episode. NFL.com reported that he was back on medication, but his status for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia is not determined.

The staph infections during the summer forced the Buccaneers to disinfect their locker room.
Tynes went on the non-football injury list and has been in disagreement with the team over the designation, arguing that it is football related. The team is paying his salary.
Meanwhile ESPN's Adam Scefter reported that the NFLPA could advise that Sunday's Eagles-Bucs in Tampa be postponed because of the MRSA diagnosis.

They should postpone it. If I was Phil, I would refuse to play in that stadium. They just had the place cleaned after Nicks went down...something is not right.

I'd go play in Tampa - no problem. If I got hurt in the game, I wouldn't go to the hospital, that's where you have the most chance of MRSA. Need surgery? Fly to Alaska.....

If Banks is the one who got it, then how? MRSA can live in water also. I do not remember Banks having any surgery at all, or even hurt. So how did he get it?
