He will surely appeal, and surely lose. Looks like he will be out for both Eagles games!

Just like the AP and the Ray Rice case, he will appeal and he will win.

The league office is really being idiots in this. Twice already they have been told they can't apply the new punishment to people who commit the offense before the rule was changed. And yet here they are trying to do the same thing a 3rd time.

Didn't AP win his appeal and still have to wait all off season to be reinstated? I wonder how that works. The appeals process for this greg hardy case will be dragged out as long as it can be. I have a feeling it will get dropped to 6 games.

I think he gets it reduced to two games. That's what the punishment was defined as when he committed the offense.

The reason for the different timings is that the league doesn't really do anything until the legal process exhausts itself. Peterson was done with the courts by pleading out. He had done that months before the Hardy case was dismissed.

Ha! The NFL is already starting their opening arguments in the appeals process:

"The NFL's investigation concluded that Hardy violated the Personal Conduct Policy by using physical force against Nicole Holder in at least four instances," the league said in its statement, and also noted Hardy's suspension would be "appropriate under any version of the Personal Conduct Policy or its predecessors."

In other words they are trying to get around the previous rulings in the AP and Ray Rice case that have went against them by saying that this punishment fits both the existing and the prior rules. Which of course we know it doesn't from the simple fact that no one ever got suspended 10 games for domestic violence or any personal conduct policy violation.

So he gets to rest up for the stretch.....
Join team for the playoffs if they make it - save money either way......
Should be out for the year - life if he had been found guilty.....

The NFL is just trying to save face on this issue. They were perceived as initially being too lenient with Ray Rice. They aren't making that mistake again. The NFL is going to let the arbitrator sort it out.

It is likely he will appeal and it will be knocked back to 2 games. This matter has already been adjuducated once. The courts ruled that the NFL could not retroactively apply their new personal conduct policy to issues from before the policy took affect. It is why Ray Rice got reinstated. Greg Hardy should get a 2 game suspension, and personally, since he already missed last year, I would fine him 2 game checks and let him get back to work.

Too bad he wasn't signed by the Patriots. Robert Kraft could have made this go away very quietly.

No, Bobby got on the stand and perjured himself to make the problem go away forever.
