It sounds like AJ Green had a nice bounceback tonight as well. He had just 2 catches, but one was a long TD. He also made a nice catch for another 25 yards that was overturned, and another play where he torched Chris Gamble, but Dalton overthrew him.

The QB needs to get time from the OL, and then Dalton needs to be able to get the ball to him.

Green is going to catch more than he misses, as long as the ball is in the area.

Hope you're right, but that may be a bit of an exaggeration....I think it's fair to expect him to improve as he adjusts to the NFL game, though....first year receivers tend to struggle....next year, however, there's no limit.....

It is hard for wr's to break through in their first year. People who don't understand that think dez bryant and demaryius thomas are busts.

Jerry Rice was decent his first year with around 900 yards.
Randy Moss was exceptional his first year, but we're not going to see that.

we will see around 600 - 700 yards receiving from Green.

Green's advantage over other rookies is that he's immediately the #1 receiver here.

i think that award is for the NFL only (not by conference)..

RBs and QBs are the favorites to win the award. If Green wins it he'll have to be exceptional..

either way I think he should be a probowler in a yr or two

You are right about just 1 OROY. That makes his chances much lower. However just looking at the list of rookies on offense there isn't a whole lot that he will be battling with. All the QB's outside of Dalton and Newton will be on the bench. The only high pick at RB that will start was Ryan Williams and if I'm not mistaken he tore something in his knee. LeShoure might start in DET I'm not sure what their situation is. So that just leaves Green, Jones and Baldwin as the other 1st round offensive skill players. So I mean I don't see a whole lot of competition for it. Dalton might somehow end up with it just because he is the best rookie QB this year.

I don't see Julio winning it. Roddy white is the main option and Harry Douglas is going to get a lot of throws his way.

They are still going to run a lot and they have Gonzo at TE too and he will be a big part of that O.

It's a dynamic offense. I see Julio easily putting up 700 yards. Add that to a playoff appearance, and it's almost his to lose.

If a WR wins it (probably not) Green has a better shot. He'll get a ton of looks because we don't have a Roddy White in front of him. He's automatically our #1 target.

I'm still saying Green has the best shot. They won't double him because there will be 8-9 in the box all game every game.

Why would you put 8 or 9 in the box when you can stop the run with the front 7. Worst case would be 8.
