[BIG STORY]
Needing a win to keep their season alive, the Canadiens came up big Tuesday night with a 2-1 win against the Bruins at the Bell Centre. Carey Price shined for Montreal, stopping 31 shots to help the Habs force a seventh game in Beantown.

"There's no doubt Carey was outstanding," Canadiens coach Jacques Martin said of Price, who is boasting a 1.85 goals-against average and .942 save percentage. "He's been good every night and he has given us a chance to win, so I think that is a key part in playoff hockey."

-------------------------------------

[CANADIENS]
There's something about having their backs against the wall that brings out the best in the Canadiens. Dating back to last postseason, Montreal is now 6-1 when facing elimination. Michael Cammalleri has plenty to do with that statistic, as the highly-skilled winger had a goal and an assist Tuesday night and is 7-3-10 in those seven elimination games.

"I'm not ready tonight to sit here and start praising each other just yet," Cammalleri said. "We've got a big game coming up, and it's still the first round of the playoffs. Let's keep all the complimenting each other to a minimum right now and worry about getting better."

-------------------------------------

[BRUINS]
Perhaps the biggest reason why Boston will play with its season on the line Wednesday night is because of its anemic power play. The Bruins went 0-for-4 via the man advantage in Game 6 and is now 0-for-19 in the series.

"It's always the same, you want to use the odd-man advantage to try to score," Boston defenseman Dennis Seidenberg said after Tuesday's loss. "They did and we didn't. Five-on-five, I think we did great; special teams was the thing that kind of hurt us."

-------------------------------------

[WHO'S HOT]
Cammalleri, one of the biggest playoff performers in the League, has 9 points (3 goals, 6 assists) in this series. Brian Gionta is 3-1-4 in the six games. … Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron is averaging a point per game (3-3-6), while Tim Thomas has a 2.16 GAA and .927 save percentage.

-------------------------------------

[INJURY REPORT]
Habs defenseman James Wisniewski suffered an injury in Game 5 and did not play Tuesday night. Forward David Desharnais injured his knee in Game 5 and did not play after the second period. If he can't go, Benoit Pouliot will likely re-enter the fray.

-------------------------------------

[STAT PACK]
On second night of back-to-back starts, Price is 6-9-2 with a 3.10 GAA, while Thomas is 11-10-5 with a 2.38 GAA.

-------------------------------------

[PUCK DROP]
"We have to take that positive and go home. We'll have our home crowd and it'll be exciting. We've been in this before. We have to stay focused, stay relaxed and go from there." -- Bruins forward Mark Recchi

Far from the greatest rivalry ever, but a good one brewin none the less, it's time for the Bruins to get it together, it can be done. Unfortunately it will probably be a great goalie battle..WE WANT LOT'S OF SCORING..

Far from...? That shit you get from BC must be great.

If we stay out of the penalty box, we win, guaranteed. We didn't "play" bad last night at all. We just kept giving them the man advantage, and then when we were on the PP, we would make it 4 on 4 within 10 seconds. :L

I am confident CJ will get these guys ready for tonight. It seems the B's always need a wake up call, last night better have been it.

Yes the shit I get is usually dynamite, that's neither here nor there though, B's Habs is not a huge rivalry, yes they've had a few run-ins in the past but nothing like Yanks, Sox etc. Not trying to diminish either teams efforts, but Yea Jeff, I would like to see it come to a real rivalry, wish the Av's didn't suck and still beat up on the Wings constantly like the good old days..
