The defense played great today. But there were some busted coverage's in crucial situations late in the 4tq. We simply cant have that. The 4th and 2 play was ridiculous. Amerson got smoked on that TD to Allen. Can't jump routes in that situation. He is a gambler it worked out with his INT but then got burnt later on. The goal line stand was awesome. Season saver in my opnion.

I thought the officials were horrible today. First the catch to Robinson. No one touched him. They replayed it and the DB did not even touch him. Blown call. The Woodhead fumble. The ball was coming out when he was coming to the ground. The ball was loose. The replay showed it. It should of been over turned. That was the game for Christ sakes. Kerrigan and Rak were being held all day long IMO.

The offense was very good today especially on the 3rd downs. Garcon had his best game as a Redskin. Caught everything today. Three one handed catches. Rg3 played a lot better today but still missed some key throws. The overthrow to Moss was inexcusable, he had all day to throw. He did make good plays with his legs today. The jump for the first down was huge. Only he can do that.


Kyle had a better day today but the 3rd down qb draw call was very questionable. The 3rd down call to ice the game was very bad. How do you not go to Reed in that situation? They totally forgot about Reed this game. He made a huge catch in OT but where was he in the 3rd and 4th qtrs.

To close, it was a huge win today. Defense and Offense both played well. I had us at 5-3 at the break but at 3-5 the season still looks optimistic. The Atl game looks very winnable. a 6-2 finish is very doable.

After reading Boswell column two thoughts occur to me:

Can you imagine being one of the fans who left early, thinking the game was over ? WOW. Going to be kicking yourself today after missing the "longest longshot Skins escape-defeat-to-win EVER."

Other thought is ... THANK GOD the NFL changed the rules to review every scoring play. Without that rule change Mike's questionable clock management might have left us no timeouts left to use to challenge or review the play which would have stood as originally called ... a TD.

It was under 2-minutes, though, which would have meant only the officials could have reviewed it, even under the "old" rules.

Yes I read it ... but I tune out whenever someone complains about the refs. It's a futile argument. The same bad refs make bad calls on both sides of the ball & it generally evens out.

The Woodhead TD wasn't even close. Cmon Charger fans have to admit that.

The actual wood head play wasn't close, but the very fact that the redskins allowed the chargers to get in the position to win the game with essentially dump off passes to wood head, all the way down the field, is what is scary.

The redskins need a fast, playmaking MLB in the worst possible way.

I think you could have made a better argument for a fumble by Woodhead that hit the pylon and would have been a touchback then you can a TD on that play.

I am shocked nobody ever mentioned that on TV.
