He has been asked to drop into an underneath zone before. I don't know how often, but two times really stick out in my memory. One time he pile drove a slot wr across the middle to forse an incompletion and then there is this play:

I honestly have not had the feeling the cowboys could contend since 1996. With the additions to the defense this off season I see a great season ahead for cowboys.

I could see him getting some snaps there in obvious passing situations to get him, Lawrence and Hardy after the QB at the same time

I think gregory is fast enough to get snaps at lb. The kid is a freak. The though of hardy, lawrence, gregory and McClain rushing the qb should scare opposing qbs.

Personally, I don't see Gregory as a 4-3 LB, but I think that will be his quickest path to regular snaps while he bulks up. Otherwise, Gregory is on the field in obvious passing downs only.

The way this team talks about possibly playing Kyle Wilber at SLB, I have to think Gregory could outperform at the SLB position. Wilber sucks, and there is at least a little talk of him being the guy at SLB. But what do I know?
