Glover Quin seems to be well worth the investment. What's his grade?

Use the grading scale I've provided below and from there, I will get the average score for each player after a day or two.

Rank 1-10 with 10 being the highest. Include percentages (.1.2.3.4.5) if you believe player is between certain levels.

1- Bad player. Should not be on a NFL roster.
2- Tackling dummy or jock carrier.
3- Nothing more than a practice squad player.
4- Low level backup player.
5- Quality backup or role player with no starting potential.
6- Starter but easily upgradeable.
7- Mid level starter, with potential as a high level starter.
8- High level starter, with All-Pro potential.
9- Consistent All-Pro player.
10- Potential Hall of Fame player.

Quin was my favorite player on defense to watch last season. A sure, open field tackler with great range and ball skills to defend the pass.

8.8 - He may be the best all around safety in the league. The best FA signing the Lions have made in 2 decades. Maybe more.

He was simply spectacular last season. One of the best two or three free safeties right now. Another season like this one and he's into the mid 9.5 range. Can't play the position much better than Quin did last season...

One helluva defensive back. Unfortunately, he very well may be our best defensive player next year.

8.9 for me. Only other guy on the roster worthy of better ranking IMO is Suh. CJ would if this was last off season.

Quin is almost always in the right position to make plays. Then by golly he makes them also, unlike a Delmas style safety.

Old Lion prolly is right about Quin. He will never get the consideration because of the logo he wears.

He was Second Team All-Pro behind Earl Thomas and Weddle. I don't see that as him being slighted. Not in the slightest. Those guys are future HOFers.

First db our of Utah in a long time that I thought would be good. I am baffled every year how a DB from Utah climbs up the draft charts. How? Unless getting burned at the worst possible time is a desirable skill.

Sean Smith has turned into a pretty good CB. He's set to be a free agent next year (subsequently the Chiefs are getting him at a steal for his level of play) and at 6'3" he'd be a great #2 CB across from Slay...

Quin has been a God send. Listening to all the mic'd up from this past year, he's more than just a great player. He's the unquestionable leader on D. Love Quin!!

Smith has been decent, Brice McCain made an alright career as a nickel back. The tall athletic kid from last draft is too soon to tell, but none of these players other than Weddle had been good for Utah. They are great athletes that become football players after they leave Utah. Whittingham loves the front 7 and it shows
