I went B- due to the trades besides the first 1. I think the selections were all value picks except for Winfree which felt like a reach given the injury history but has great upside from what I have read.

I don't mind taking that gamble on Winfree in round 6 though.

I had my heart set on some other WRs, but once I got over that I was fine with taking a shot on Winfree. I've always waited for Winfree to bust out with good health and a season and he hasn't.. He could be a better NFL then college player if he gets in there stays healthy and uses his tools.

If not, then he will look like a silly pick just like that of Okie State S Josh Furman who hardly played in college, but when you consider where we took the chance at it's all good.

I consider Kelvin McKnight our 7th rd pick anyway. ;)

Not huge on our undrafted class, but that is ok. Someone will surprise me.

We have a lot of street free agents and with so many people on IR late last year we were able to add a lot of different faces on the PS that will get a legit shot in camp.

UDFAs I like: Trinity Benson - 4.3 forty - 40 inch vertical. Watson - from CSU - 4.53 speed - 36 inch vertical and a 7 second 3 cone drill at the ILB position - Austin Fort - from Wyo TE converted QB 4.56 forty and an amazing 6.8 3 cone drill.

It's hard to judge what the Broncos got in the 3 Olinemen. Rypien can teach Lock QB footwork as his is very good.

I'd say Denver gets a B+. Only thing keeping it from an A is we didn't get a stud ILB who can really take advantage of Fangio's history at making LB's great. But our 1st 2 picks will be instant starters, Lock will sit at least a year(maybe 2 depending on how Flacco does but getting Lock at 42 when most people had us taking him at 10 is amazing value), and Jones should see quite a bit of playing time this year as well. As for Hollins and Winfree you don't see many Day 3 players have an immediate impact but they provide some good depth.

A-

And that is based in part on how we improved the team .. There were some players I'd have liked the Broncos to have acquired - Derrick Baity was signed as an UFA and I think he could/should have been drafted - but it's tough to complain because I love all our picks ..

Baity is a tough prospect. I thought he would go late as well. Great physical tools, but such an up and down career at Kentucky.

B-

We were a very solid A after day two, but not having a 4, then trading the rest for a 31 year old LB'er and an injury prone WR...

I'd give it a B if it were an option. But not a B+.

I think Paul has it right. I liked the risk on Lock and a high risk/reward pick. I won’t fault JE if it fails. So it’s a B+ with potential of A+ depending on luck of the Lock.

A for me. The trade back was risky but genius in its outcome.
Denver got 3 players with its first 3 picks that most mocks had 1st round grades on.

I have no issue giving up a 4th to take a shot at a QBOTF. I also like spearfishing in the late rounds if you really like someone.

Mack Wilson went one pick ahead of Denver so did not get 100% lucky and still have ILBer to solve.
