Congratulations Bengals. Bungles no more. First road playoff win in franchise history. First conference championship game since 1988. And guess who they played.....The Buffalo Bills!
The last time a QB won a playoff game while taking at least 9 sacks was Len Dawson of the Chiefs defeating the Buffalo Bill in the AFL championship in 1966 to advance to Super Bowl I ;)

I guess. I mean, someone had to win the game. Was like watching Jets v. Giants.

Very happy for Bengals fans, I always root for teams with long suffering fans. Now if only the Bills can actually win a Super Bowl.

Has an NFL team ever won a postseason game when their QB was sacked 9 times? That was incredible.

From what I found the '66 Chiefs are the only other team to win a playoff game when the QB was sacked nine times.

@ChiefsLakers67

Weren't you about 45 back in '66? :heh:

Yes, The Kansas City Chiefs over the Bills in the 1966-67 AFL Championship to reach SB I. Len Dawson's Chiefs won 31-7, IIRC.

Len Dawson and Joe Burrow also have amusing memes involving them smoking. So there's weird synergy there.

Gotcha - yeah that's going back a long ways. I just couldn't get over how despite the number of sacks and hits Burrows took, the man just kept bringing his team back. Kid's got some stones on him.

Burrow's fun to watch. The Bengals gotta damn good QB for many years to come. And yes I'm jealous.

Have to agree. He looks like a keeper, that's for sure.

Just outta curiosity how much faith do you have in Fields as your QB of the future? And who would you like to see as the next HC?

He was disappointing in his rookie season, no arguing that. But I have faith that what he really needs is good old fashioned experience. He has the tools to succeed in this league.

You ever watch PTI? Michael Wilbon hated the former HC & GM. No doubt JF struggled his rookie year, just like most rookies. But after hearing Wilbon crush Nagy all season long I'm hoping JF's tough introduction to the NFL was more about his former coach than his playing ability. Just once I'd like to see a former Ohio State QB succeed in the NFL.

He needs the right coaching @Lake Shore Drive . Nagy seemed to think he could make the kid fit his scheme. At least, that's what it looked like to me. Also, Da Bears need a few more pieces around Fields. Then see if the kid can progress like Josh Allen did.
