Good goal. St. Louis was always in motion, and the league made it clear that that is what counts when a player draws the puck back for a deke. It's not like he stopped his stride like a Jeremy Roenick special.
Definitely a good goal in my opinion. The spin isn't illegal. Stopping the puck and firing it in with the backhand isn't illegal. Why would the combination be? It was one continuous deke, and a beauty. Not quite the same as a player stopping in front of the goalie and going back and forth a dozen times.
I don't like shootout to determine games, but if we're going to have them, I'd prefer to allow the shooters some creativity. Goalie save % is already way too high in the SO.
