I was incredibly impressed by him and Pietrangelo the whole tourney. They were just phenomenal.

It's unfortunate the stupid IOC bans Nicklas Backstrom for something he's been taking for seven years running because of migraines - could have changed the complexion of this game

At the same time ... The players were given the list of banned substances and briefed on it so hes an idiot

Hopefully no idiots on the the team canada roster

But what if is something he has to take? What if he doesn't take it and then all of a sudden he gets migraines again? The IOC needs to lighten up - everyone and their mom's know that he takes that for migraines and he's done it for a while now, it shouldn't make a difference that he's using it in the Olympics now - sometimes a player HAS to take it or he's going to have headaches/migraines - I can't believe they wouldn't put an exception out for him to use it - it's obviously something he needs because he's used it for a while - I don't think you can just expect him to stop using it when he knows he needs to use it because of medical problems, I don't think it makes him an idiot in any way - the IOC are a bunch of bumbling idiots

If Sweden knows he has to take a banned substance, Sweden should have never put him on the team.

Following rules is not that hard.

If its something he "HAS" to take and its illegal, wouldnt he try and get some sort of medical dispensation

Did he even bring it up withe team doctors, ioc testing ofgicials WAY beforehand???
