Going Radical on the Draft

Okay, we need a DE, everyone wants one. Why not get the best one?

Cleveland has the #1 pick, and they need quality players everywhere, especially at QB, but they do not want to lose their 2 1st round picks.

How about:

Cleveland Trades:
1st Overall Pick - DE Myles Garrett
4th Round Pick - (worst of their 4th round picks)

Cincinnati Trades:
1st Round Pick - #9 Overall
3rd Round Pick
QB - AJ McCarron (trade would require McCarron to sign an extension for Cleveland)
2018 - 5th Round Pick

Bengals 2nd Round Pick - WR JuJu Smith-Schuster

I know we have only traded up 3 times in the first in the history of this franchise, and I know it is closer to none than slim, but this seems like an okay deal for both teams.

Can you imagine a DL with: Dunlap, Atkins, Billings, Garrett while we give Dalton another target in JuJu?

We do lose one hell of a backup QB, but Dalton has only spent like 5 games on the injured list his entire career. McCarron took all of zero snaps last year. I would just gamble and take our chances before McCarron just leaves via FA.

Aside from the fact that we're 1) never trading with Cleveland and 2) never trading up in the draft again (thanks Ki Jana).... I think this is totally plausible.

since most of our tickets are from fans of other teams who travel I think the best way to save these teams would be to consolidate our best players and move to Columbus.

the new team would be call the "Brongals"
