I'm like 93% Irish with 25% 2nd generation and another 25% 3rd generation. I was "sharing" the joke as a context related to BK's statement and not looking for a cheap laugh. I barely drink and don't like the Irish drinking stigma.

Can't say I'm sober as I have a valid medical marijuana card. But I don't miss drinking.

I had my last drink in 1974 after not drinking after 12/31/1969. Haven't had anything since with the exception of a couple sips of beeron 90 degree plus days. Now that I'm Florida, I don't even think about sipping.

Someone asked me once, why I quit drinking. My response?

"I hate waking up in the morning with someone standing on my tongue."
