What a joke...Ref loses control last night and gives him five and a game for a love tap. No penalty on Ballard who initially cross-checked Glencross for having the audacity of hitting Ballard seconds earlier with a clean check. Should have been off-setting minors.

Good old Colie will probably give him 2-3 games and trot out the old "we need to get this stuff out of the game" line. No Colie, we need to get YOU out of the league.

it was a crosscheck to the face Dash. that ain't right.
the 5 min was penalty enough imho, given that they were both going at each other a bit, but
you can't get away from the fact it was a crosscheck to the face.

maybe just a fine, so it looks like Colie is on the case... but the wheel of justice know no reason.

Any video available for those of us who didn't see it?

How else can we place our bets on the Wheel of Justice?

It would just be a fine if his last name was "Nash" or if he played for the Rags. Actually 2-3 games may be a little light, after thinking about it some more, he may end up with 5 games.

the avatar you are hosting for a week is making you miss things :)

I hope he gets at least 1 game for this. its the intention not the actual force used. I wont defend ballard but its a cross check to the face/head area and that has to be reviewed.

ballard should have gotten 2 mins as well but he didnt go for the face/head.

while i dont think it was severe enough to warrant a suspension, he is a high hit repeat offender. If he had made full contact it could have been bad ... you would have hoped he learned his lesson from the first suspension ... the arm motion of cross checking someone to the head should not be acceptable

this to me makes me want to give him a 3 game suspension. maybe he will finally understand then its time to stop the high shots.

i dont think Im alone in my life experiences here so remember when we all played floor/cosom hockey in elementary school PE/gym class and you werent allowed to carry/run with your plastic stick blade above your waist ... remember the kid who never got the message and would never run with his blade along the floor ... that same kid also was a chronic glue eater

Im thinking Glencross eats glue ... or huffs it maybe

There is just a lack of hockey IQ that permeates through the entire Flames team. Glencross is a pretty good player, but he's dumber than a sack of hammers.

Same with Bouwmeester last night on the PP early in the 3rd period, you're the lone defenseman with four forwards, you better make sure on that deep pinch or know that someone is covering for you. We all know what happened.

Maybe Campbell just hates the 3rd man coming in. Jokinen was suspended 3 games for a stick to the head of a Coyotes player who was already engaged with a Calgary Flames player. Nash has a similar high stick to the head of Giordano, he gets fined (just two players going at it). Same with Glencross and Ballard the other night.

Of course, maybe good ole Colie thinks that keeping Glencross in the Flames lineup is punishment enough.
