  • The U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Reform alleges the Commanders withheld as much as $5 million in refundable deposits from season ticket holders.

In a letter to the Federal Trade Commission, the house committee -- which has investigated the Commanders' culture of sexual harassment --- said the franchise may have cheated season ticket holders and kept money intended to be shared with the NFL's other 31 teams. “Given the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) authority to investigate unfair or deceptive business practices, we are providing the information and documents uncovered by the Committee for your review, to determine if the Commanders violated any provision of law enforced by FTC and whether further action is warranted,” the committee’s letter said. “We request that you take any other action you deem necessary to ensure that all funds are returned to their rightful owners and that those responsible are held accountable for their conduct.” As lawmakers' investigation continues to turn up damning evidence of financial malfeasance, pressure will build among NFL owners to remove Daniel Snyder as Washington's owner. Allegations of withholding money from season ticket holders might be the death knell for Washington fans' support of the once-proud franchise.

If Goodell doesn't act on this...then he is clearly tied to some type of conspiracy to keep Dan as the owner. They ignored the sexual harassment and intimidation, but I doubt they can ignore something that impacts the pocketbook.

The owners need to step up and demand action. Dan is making the NFL look like fools and continues to embarrass them. Why Goodell hasn't done anything is beyond me.

The saddest thing is that if this latest allegation doesn't get Dan out.....NOTHING will.

Clock is ticking. They have until November to make something stick or it's all over. The Dems are most likely getting run outta town and the Republicans have already stated they believe this is a witch hunt and want no parts of this investigation.

That was from a quick Google search. Sportscasting.com

JP Finlay stated the Republicans called this a witch hunt. I'll keep searching for the direct quote.

I think that both democrat and republican washington fans are united in their hatred for Dan Snyder, and their desire to see him get ousted, no?

Witch hunt or not, please let it be the straw that breaks the camels back!

I couldn't find the witch hunt comment, but it us true a disgrunted employee is the one who alleged Snyder hid money from the other owners. So in Hacker has a point.

Now with this word on keeping mobey from the fans has any legs, both Hacker and Finlay may have different views.

When the news about Snyder hiding money broke I was sure it was his undoing, as word came out it was from a ex disgrunted employee who had no access to that info, I figured it probably goes nowhere.

Snyder was reporting Skins ticket revenue as money made from concerts at FedEx so he wouldn't have to share it with the other owners. (Allegedley)

need the proof , charges dont mean anything . allegations dont mean anything as we have seen with the debunked "russia collusion " hoax and the hunter laptop crap. the press has an agenda and certainly isnt trust worthy on any subject at all .

so i want snyder gone but you have to prove the allegations and right now i dont see it , yet . you cant take something from someone based on lies . so prove the allegations

The allegations are damning.

I'm torn on if I want them to stick.

1. If true, he's a dirt bag and needs to face punishment.

2. Ousting him almost gas to be better for the team and fans, but being a Cowboys fan, I'm not for bettering your team.

I hope you all understand.

Stealing deposits from fans.

Hiding money through college games and concerts.

If there is a paper trail he's done.
