Giants win appeal

Word out of Chicago is the Giants have won last nights appeal and that game will be picked up on Thursday at 4 PM central time.

Hey I just realized that the Giants just gained back 1/2 game in the standings. The baseball gods are smiling.

We snapped our 1-game losing streak and started a 2-game winning streak... without even taking the field.

Now THAT is dominance...




I must have missed the acquisition of Nick Lowery.

I was just wondering how Vegas and off shore sites are going to handle the action from last nights game. Refunds?

I was telling someone today that I don't ever remember a team winning a protest. I was pessimistic. Then I get home and find out they won the protest and that the Giants are the first team since 1986 to win a protest. I started following baseball and the Giants in 1987, so no wonder I couldn't remember a team winning a protest.

Surprisingly, the last protest won BEFORE the '86 protest was the Brett HR game in '83. The Royals protested him being called out and the protest was upheld. The Royals ended up winning the completion of the game (1 half inning only).

I had no idea tat was all reversed until it was mentioned on KNBR today (I think it was PCon who said it).
