Any chance we can keep Leake and get rid of Peavy? Thanks for the past, but it's on to the future.
Would Leake require a long term deal? I was thinking 2 years. I hate anything longer than 5 for a pitcher over 27 or so, but that's what the market is dictating i suppose. The Giants just spent $200M on two 5-years contracts. I would much rather have Peavy's for 1 more year as #4 than giving out another long term deal. 2017 is about time to bring up some legit arm from the farm.
Every single one has started an opening day game in their career...
Any word on what's going on with Alex Gordon? I'd like that little piece to fit in the puzzle.Leake is as good as gone now. This contract scares me, but I have to trust in the braintrust.
At this point, we only "need" another OF, but if we are done, I am good.
Right now, we have a top 5 top 3 along with the Mets, Cubs, DBacks, (???)...

I have 4 probs with that...I'd like to see them try a 6-man rotation until at least the ASB.
Now THIS makes sense for opt outs. The club actually gets something if the player opts in.

BBRef had us at $152.9mm after Samardzija. Add $23mm for Cueto, and that is $175.9. The lux tax limit is $189mm.Any word on what's going on with Alex Gordon? I'd like that little piece to fit in the puzzle.

It is my understanding we need to include a few million for benefits. So we might have $10mm to use.
It looks like the Byrd is the Word. Unless the FO wants to go for the jugular, damn the torpedoes.
