I went to bed after they turned a touchdown into a touchback. I have never gone to bed with that much time left in a game in my life, and I'm 56. Why would I let this team sucker me into getting a bit excited about a game? Why would I not expect yet another embarrassing performance in prime time?

I expected the Giants to come out flying and win the game, they were desperate, What I should have expected is exactly what I saw, a game that was lost from the start. Thanks for that special teams. Fuck you penalty flags that always seem to negate a good play.

I'll be happy to talk about the specifics later, right now I just want to blast this team. It's been over 20 years, we've been pretty damn patient. But I'm out of patience.

I feel ya. Once again, this team was unprepared and shot themselves in the foot on the first drive and then reloaded to shoot themselves multiple times again. Compound that with continued just bad breaks. Everytime the ball bounced, it bounced the Giants way. Jones losing the ball at the 1 after a good run and it goes out of the endzone, or the TD pass that breeland has covered perfectly and knocks away only to bounce off of the WR straight up into the air. Or the second KC int that is deflected and goes straight up and the LB makes a diving catch. That crap never bounces our way. Hell, when is the last time our defense had an int? 2013?

Agree with the bad breaks comment but that happens to losers. . But as the game was getting out of hand I thought to myself that we needed a turnover. Then I came to my senses and dismissed that crazy thought.

Let's be real here. Did anyone really expect that this team would have a winning record and not have some major issues this season? They are in rebuilding mode which unfortunately is going to include a lot of mistakes. The major thing I am looking for is progress for various areas of the team. I am seeing that in areas such as O-line, WR and parts of the defense.

However - there is still a lot of work to be done to include cutting down on mistakes (and forcing turnovers) as the season progresses. Did people forget that even the 2012 playoff team had a terrible start? I am not suggesting that this team will turn it around and make the playoffs. Rather - I am asking that we grade this thing later in the year with a larger sample size.

I think that you will see improvement in several areas. Unfortunately - I don't believe that this will include the QB position. That is an uphill battle that will likely take something just short of a miracle to cure this season. If they do well otherwise I will be relatively happy with that & wait for the team to find their QB over the next year or two.

I think Gruden tried to get cute and out smart himself. I fully expected the Skins to come out, set the tone, and try to ram the ball down the Giants throat. Gruden comes out in a spread and tries to trow the ball all over the place early. Questionable at best.

I am not going to say the Cousins can't perform in big spots or pressure sitiations. He saved our season in 2012 with the Ravens comeback and the Browns win, but it just seems when he is the starter and the stage is at it's biggest he plays small. A lot of those yards were garbage yards. He wasn't God awful but he was bad. Missed Reed on a TD, under threw Garçon, should have thrown to Roberts in the flat on that rollout, forced a pass on 1st and 10 that resulted in a pick. Thew another bad pick when the guy was blanketed. Just a bad night for him, but will reserve total judgment on him until Jax gets back.

If they are going to use Morris like this they might as well trade him. The writing does appear to be on the wall. No way he gets big money from us. Hope we can keep him though. Jones is gonna be real good guys. Just hold on to the freaking ball. Chris was solid.

You have to seriously consider deactivating Roberts once Jax comes back, especially after what Ross did in the return game last night. Grant catches everything and Crowder flashed last night. Reed is so good.

Losing guys on the line last night was a clear example of the lack of depth we have on this roster in general. The line must be addressed again this off-season with another guard and center. Maybe even another tackle.

I thought the front 7 held their own. Kerrigan ain't right. Missed Riley, but Compton didn't embarrass himself. We still need to find an ILB that can cover on 3rd down.

When you go the whole night never seeing one of your corners on the TV, it means they are balling out. Culliver is having a real good year so far. Looking like a solid pick up. I hope Hall is ok. You never realize how much you need him until he's gone. Breeland gers a pass from me. The knee injury set him back.

Hopkins is looking like an upgrade. Special teams is still a joke. Hayward and Paul are sorely missed by that unit.

Maybe the Giants are a pretty good football team. They were without a bunch of guys and really should be 3-0. I like the fact that we didn't quit like we would have in years past.

I don't like the fact that Cousins is on pace to throw 21 interceptions. I mean int's are just soul crushing. He gets praised for his decision making, but sometimes he makes really bad decisions with the football.

Staring 1-3 in the face. 10 days to find out if we are going to have ourselves a season or not. Go Falcons, Go Jets, and does anyone really think Gruden is the guy? Can we win it all with him? Is he they guy that gets us to the guy? I just don't see him here 7, 8 years from now. We'll see.

Yes same thing for me also and I am a 1957 model (58 yrs old). Here is what is scary. As of right now this team appears to be the same team of last yr. The OL is better and I believe it will get even better however ST, TO's, bad luck, poor QB play and no pass rush. We need two good edge rushers (TO's). Breeland had several opportunities to knock down passes. The season is still young and we should continue to improve but it is obvious. WE NEED A QB who has more consistency but hey this is team in rebuilding mode so get ready, we will endure more inconsistency and frustrations. Good one week horrible the next.

If I saw the team improving last year under Gruden I'd buy this. But they didn't improve, they regressed. And most of the problems we saw last year have continued. But the biggest issue is the QB. Again you just can't contend consistently with a sub par QB and that appears to be what we have. So yeah the OL is improved, the WR depth is good but they didn't have one legit #1 WR on the field last night. Or all year for that matter. We just got our ass kicked by a team who was content throwing 4 yard passes all night and that simply can not happen. Our offense has to put up points and they can't.

As for the positives sure Reed is a weapon. But the next penalty free game he has this year will be his first.

Why isn't Scotty Mac taking any heat for this dumpster fire of a STs unit? And please don't say its cuz Paul is hurt cuz he wasn't shit either as a gunner. Didn't Scotty Mac specifically say to wanted to improve ST play and specifically draft players with that in mind? Terrance Plummer's ass needs to be cut like last night, circa Snyder 1999 style.

Rashad Jennings clowned his ass twice on the Skins first punt. And what the hell is that jr high school bullshit formation the Skins line up in during punts? STs have figured prominently in both losses this year and I'm not sure what's more unacceptable. Giving up a game winning pt ret TD where the only player who had a chance to make a tackle was the freakin punter. After the ret guy had already chalked up 30+ yards on his return. Or being a LB and letting a RB drive you back directly into your own punter two plays in a row. Like he was Big Daddy Don Garlits and you were his freakin funny car.

He threw two passes against Baltimore and ran in a 2 pt conversion. Then he beat the Cleveland Browns a week later. He didn't save a damn thing. If anything he okee doked everybody into thinking he might be able to play and 2012 might be the worst thing that's happened to this team. It made everybody believe the Skins had a stud QB and a damn good QB. When the reality is both of them are garbage.

Again - the # 1 WR is currently hurt & they have a TE who can certainly match up receiving wise with just about any TE in the league. You also don't need an elite receiving corps to do well on offense. You are correct they need a QB & I have no doubt that this will be addressed moving forward. Do you somehow expect all of this will be solved overnight? Cmon. I stated before that we need to be patient & I knew that a lot of fans are incapable of being patient (& yes I understand the frustration & reason why it is hard to ask for patience).

Please give this a little more time & to spare yourself some stress EXPECT the QB play to be bad. With that approach you can only be pleasantly surprised. On the bright side - at least we all have the weekend free to focus on anything but the Redskins.

Have to intersperse some cheer here and there...

Ross was a bright spot on that return for a TD :)

Agree especially since there really has not been a hint of a return game in quite a while. Also - the kicker is very encouraging.

Fair enough, we knew we sucked going into the year. But for once it would be nice not to be embarrassed on national TV. I actually went into that game expecting them to lose but hopeful we would see encouraging signs. But apparently as a Redskins fan I guess that's asking too much.

As for Cousins everyone, including me, was encouraged by his play in the first 2 games even with the INTs. But last night was again a failure on the big stage. Breed said it right, his heroics in 2012 have been greatly overstated. He really has had only one signature game, Cleveland that year, and people are still holding on to that and that's wrong.

Ron Jaworski explains why Kirk Cousins throws so many interceptions

I feel your pain & pray that we see some more dividends shortly. Take a look at the link above - I think that Jaworski is spot on regarding the INTs. Still doesn't explain the other poor passes & missed opportunities. Oh well - if this plays out the same this season - Cousins won't be the first QB to initially show real promise only to fall flat ( & he was drafted pretty low so perhaps our expectations were unrealistic).

Most likely there will be more highs & lows this season & this team appears to be improved over last season but still closer to the bottom than the top. It will take a while to totally rebuild this mess.

Matt Jones killed me in fantasy with that ridiculous fumble.
