so you blow off what Boone and Soriano brought to the Mariners and Rangers as adjustments. you never could accept numbers

I think I can deal with numbers better than you can with the off season. Predicting the future has never been your strong point.

Have I predicted anything? All I have said is that I think the Rangers will attempt to in some way address the loss of his bat in the middle of the lineup and that they will also address the catcher position. You don't agree.

CarGo is the hope

But I'd be ok with a Murphy, Gentry/Martin, Cruz OF as long as we acquired at least a Greinke and/or a Price

Short of signing Napoli to a short term deal and rolling with him and Soto again, there really isn't much in the way of available upgrades out there

and a big hell no to Pierzenski (sp.)

agree, a big NO Pierzynski. other than trading for 1 of the Toronto catchers, Arencibia or d'Arnaud & re-signing Soto, Napoli seems to be the only other option

if we picked up 2 front-line starters like you indicate then an outfield of murph, gentry/martin & cruz would be okay. i would be concerned about the drop in offensive numbers but with starters like Price, Yu, Matt, Greinke, you could still win 90-95 games
