that's 5 3rd period leads blown, with 4 of the 5 losses. All PO's the sharks have only had a total of 8 3rd period leads overall. That means they have choked 5 of 8 3rd period leads leading to 4 losses.

This has gotta be nearly unprecedented chokeness.

Just got home - unbelievable.

That icing call was hard to catch by the linesman, but they are paid to make the right calls, not miss them.

It seems as if all of the luck is on Vancouver's side in this series, but if somehow the Sharks win this game, they'll be riding a lot of momentum into game 6.

even though i still think Vancouver was the better team from the onset, this series was marred by some of the worst officiating i have ever seen, so many high sticks not called, i understand the one on Vlasic was not necessarily but in game 1 and 2...really blows my mind.

and when the moron VS announcers are even making comments about it like they did in the earlier periods tonight, you know it is pretty obvious.

I have a feeling if SJ wins this game they will also take Game 6. Van is really banged up now so they'll try and end this quickly with some riskier play in the first part of OT. SJ needs to take advantage on the transition when they do that. Seto, Pavs or PM with the transition 2 on 1 goal.

sharks stopped skating after they scored... vancouver had a solid half dozen prime chances in that period. the sharks simply arent well coached. They stop playing once they get ahead and that's the killer. Its 100% mental and thats where your coach needs to do his job. Todd is a total failure in my mind.

That's what I just said. I totally agree, this is a truly hard fought game and would provide the Sharks with that impetus to ride through the rest of this series, of course if win this game first.

I'm not going to blame the coach on that one - the Sharks have had that kind of mentality of not skating and taking shifts off even before TMac came aboard. This team needs to grow a pair and make a statement on the ice for once.
