Also Braun getting scratched over Wallin. :L

Come on Doug we already know what the result of Wallin in the lineup is going to be. Admit you made a mistake and put him in the press box.

God, SjRules, you are such a downer. They have one bad game out of the last month and you freak the fuck out.

One? they havent played well in months... They have won 4 games in regulation in the last 14 (15 soon). They have won by over 2 goals exactly 1 time since December 23rd (a span of 35 games).

Their record and win streak is not representative of the teams play. They are still horribly inconsistent. They still cant handle speed. Their PK still is embarrasing and they continue to march to the box in lazy fashion. They have the #1 worst shooting percentage in the league. Their D is among the worst offensively in the league. Their big salaries belong to their laziest players (sans boyle, who is now clearly past his prime). they are an above average team and they have a chance to win the division, but they dont look anything remotely close to a cup winning team.

COME ON! You're being way too dramatic. They haven't played poorly all month. They haven't been spectacular but they haven't been BAD.

The only positive is that this is the worst game by the team in about two months, so it was bound to happen after the long streak of playing well. Hopefully, this sloppy effort won't carry over to tomorrow's game in Dallas. The D has lost its attention to detail that it had found for a few weeks.

exactly what I said... They have been OK. They havent been good. Not bad, not good. But they sure havent shown any signs of being a cup winner quality and they surely havent been playing well for a month. The only way this team goes anywhere is if Niemi steals several series (entirely possible, but highly unlikely). They just dont have the D to compete with Van, Chi, or Philly. Even LA would likely beat them.

On the flip side, the last time they lost by more than one goal was back on Jan. 13, which looks like will happen tonight. They have shortcomings and flaws, but it's no time to panic yet. Assuming a loss in this one, they are still 18-4-3 in the last 25. 18 wins in 25 games is not an accident or luck, no matter how the games were won.

Well, I respectfully disagree. I think it's a bad game. *shrug*

On another note, I miss Scotty Nichol.

He's one of the guys who goes hard on every shift. They really need him back here soon.

Eh, a bad game is going to happen here and there. The goaltending (Niemi) which has been a strength during this stretch didn't make some key early saves and it snowballed. The coaching needs to stress defense coming down this stretch (duh). Let's see if they come out tomorrow night and show any frustration because of this game. I'd rather the Sharks win tomorrow anyway, divisional race.

Yes Im upset about the game, but versus is ridiculous. Olchuk or whatever is a dbag homer. These guys are always blowing the Hawks. If I could fight anyone it would be that midget Pierre. That guy is such a moron. Im surprised the coaches dont knock him out during those half time interviews. Hes like a mosquito that wont go away. At least have announcers that arent jerking off Toews and Kane nonstop. Its painful to watch. Who is that Pierr guy anyway? His mere presence ruins Versus. He is so arrogant for a bald midget.

I left the game early as i was seriously hammered at the beginning of the game but now I am sobered up. The last time I was at the united center i got into a fight and was escorted out so I didn't want to take any chances as they will heckle the shit out of you. sad to see the boys flunk like that... jesus chirst why is wallin out there i mean seriously. Niemi had a bad night but that will happen. Nitty.. well what can you say. Going to bed. headache.

No problem, just let it out. They stunk it up tonight, but they have to be ready for Dallas tomorrow. At least it won't be on Versus.

Do you agree those guys are brutal? Its like listening to Drew blow Jumbo on Natl TV. Its borderline emberassing. Versus should be ashamed of themselves. I would be emberassed if Drew was on Natl tv blowing Jumbo.

I agree with you, can't stand them. In general, I don't like the announcers on nationally televised games because they don't have that in-depth knowledge of the Sharks, not being around the team on a daily basis. Yeah, Drew can be annoying, but I guess I'm just used to it by now. Don't have much of a problem with our local announcers. I like to listen to Rusanowsky on the radio. Baker has received some negative comments, but he does a good job paired with Rusanowsky.

Actually, they have lost 4 out 5 if you include the 2 shootouts. Not good results. As I said in a previous post, they play a very fine line of hockey. 2 or 3 goals, OTs and shootouts. Games can go either way, and now they are going the opposite way. Yes, they stunk it up tonight, but they played well in last their two and still lost. For some reason, this team seems to fire 40+ shots on many nights and seems to end up with 2 goals many times. It is a weird stat, but maybe it is because they don't get dirty goals and just hammer away from long distance with no one in front of the net most times.
