Yeah, but on the other hand, I was surprised that Hayward wasn't as homerish as he can get. Maybe he thinks he's still doing NBC telecasts. They called Edler out on at least 3 occassions for what they thought were penalties and after seeing replay rescinded on two of them.

They even went as far as to say the Ducks have a reputation among the refs to be a bunch of whiners - not sure if that's a carryover from the Carlyle days or more recent (as we know, Gabby can't keep his mouth shut), but perhaps that's why the refs don't give them the benefit of the doubt (on Perry, a former MVP in particular).

They also profusely praised Volpatti and Schneider last night.

The Canucks played well & deserved the win last night. However, is it too much to ask the officiating crew to call it the same for both teams? Edler got away with 3 penalties last night alone.
