This was posted on Twitter about 1 hour ago....if accurate, they arrived in Bay Area about 22 hours before kickoff....a little surprising IMO.

#Giants just landed in San Fran. Flight was delayed 1:40 out of Newark due to mechanical issue. Took off 2:10 pm ET. Cali, we're here!

Very odd travel plans. They'll be tired and not acclimated for the game tomorrow.

I may not be an expert on much but I fly >150k miles every year and this is odd. My body handles the travel well, but they have 50+ guys on that plane. Not everyone responds the same way to flying (some good, some not). I'm not saying it will be the difference in the game, but I was very surprised by this. I figured they'd arrive last night.

Ooh....I also forgot the near miss on the punt where Coughlin challenged that the ball touched a Niner.

The only thing I can think of is that Manning was still sick yesterday and the Giants wanted to give him an extra day so he wouldn't travel while sick and possibly get worse.

For all the talk about the Giants playing better now than October and drawing a conclusion is ringing a little hollow. Re-watching this game, this was not a crisp performance by us either. We have played much better than that game, especially at home.

Also, Eddie D is honorary captain.....I hope he gives a speech to the team tonight (or tomorrow). Remind them of the history of the franchise and what a win tomorrow can do to bring the franchise back to prominence.

I don't know, I thought Smith looked really sharp. The just couldn't do anything down in the red zone. Those first 12 points should have been at least 20. Since that time, however, Walker and Ginn just disappeared and Edwards was cut. Makes it tough on Smith now.

There may have been some individuals who did well, but think about Ginn's missed catch that went right in Webster's hands. That was an unusual gift. There was more YAC than I remember in other games. Stuff like that. Not horrible, but I'm just saying we've played better overall.

That Manningham TD play vs. Culliver reminds me of Colston vs. Cully last week. I think teams are targeting the rook. I bet they run that same play tomorrow if Cully is out there one on one....

Don't get me wrong, I think he's done fine overall. But Cully is probably the most attractive target vs. Rogers and Brown. Hope we give him some help.

Another example right there of a poor pass by Eli on the move (missed a wide open Hicks)......Gotta get him moving tomorrow. He settles in that pocket and he's lethal.
