I have never seen anything like this. A 2-1 ratio of strikes to balls is good, a 3-1 is great, a 4-1 is superb, but this is almost 5-1. Unheard of.

It has been easier for Pence to be productive in the Phils lineup, he doesn't have to be the man. It has been harder for Beltran, as he has been "injured", and he has to be a leader. Tough to be a leader when everyone else around you is failing. But that is when leaders lead, d@mmit. He gets a few hits here and there, but he has done nothing to strengthen this lineup. In fact, his presence may have hurt it. Or so it appears.

Unfortunately, other hitters are watching his stock plummet as well. He was an all star this year before he played for the G's, now he is a Giants hitter.

Good luck signing a legit bat this off season.
