That was nasty. Griddy AB but it didn't get the job done.
It's not the flashiest draft, there were a few names I liked with the first round pick that we could have had, Eric Jagielo for example. He could be a 30 homer guy in Yankee stadium, advance approach at the plate, should stick at 3rd base, maybe a LFer and could move through the system quickly. Obviously though, left-handed power is always a question in our Park.
But the Giants have a system and I have faith in it, they draft the guys they want and that fit the system. I think Arroyo is underrated though, he's sneaky athletic, and there are a few later picks I like.
Had to check the name first, but for example Dan Slania. Could be a reliever in the bigs very soon, or they may convert him to starter. I personally like him as a reliever where he could let it all out with the fastball. If he turned starter, he would be nothing more than a 4th/5th starter IMO.
Are we all in agreement? Torres is done now?
Nice throw, kid!

Romo not being very closer like with all these hits. But nice throw by Perez. Kid is a player.
I am sorry to say this, but Bochy blew it. Zito is good for 90 pitches, ONLY. He should have that as a hard cap, unless there is a five run lead with no one on base. He should not have faced that last batter. Now it is 3-2, with the Pads threatening again, and the Giant bats back in hacking slumber mode.
Earth to Bochy. Your relief pitcher is melting down before your eyes. Wake up and do something!
