Agreed; great hold by Buster. It seems the umps kzone is a bit small tonight? Gorzalaney looked like he was throwing some low strikes, but all were called balls. Zito has to make better pitches than that last one.

Yeah, Gorz definitely looked like he was getting squeezed in that first inning. And that he didn't like it too much either.

A little luck involved, to be honest -- the pitch to Byrd wasn't good, nor was his last pitch. Fortunately it was hit right at Burrell. Also, the offense isn't doing a very good job of making Gorz work since the first inning. I think he's at 50 pitches through 3, whereas he was at 35 through one.

That's true. The ball to Burrell was a bullet. The Giants had a bunch of hard hit balls get caught the last couple games so hopefully the score is evening out.

EDIT: Also, you ain't lying. Gorzelany has shut things down since the first. He's been on a nice roll.

Nine pitch inning for Gorz in the fifth...the hitters need to do a better job extending him or he's gonna go 7...their bully is a weakness and we need to get into it.

HUFF! I always enjoy his at bats whether it's a hit or not. The guy knows how to work a count. I never knew that about him before......I always kind of (wrongly) assumed he was more of a hacker.
