Giants' bottom of the lineup is a bottomless pit, with no end in sight.

OK, not to panic, but losing five games in a row in such a pathetic manner is disconcerting at best.

Streaks like this will lead to drinking heavily .. Just a bad stretch of baseball, dbacks are playing well, Giants aren't. It could get turned around tomorrow.

Not a strong memory of 1993, but I do remember the awful August last year (didn't we have a 7 game losing streak in there?), and the freaking out was white hot (see what I did there?). Especially since we didn't have a recent ring under our belts.

The 7 game losing streak was at the end of June. Ending with Travis Ishikawa hitting a grandslam off of Jimenez in Col. Really, Ishikawa was the key player in the Giants winning the World Series, and he is at least as good as James Loney.

I didnt think that team was capable of losing 8 all year let alone consecutively. (would kill to have that 93 lineup with this staff-best Giants lineup ever)

Besides the injuries (obviously), Huff is probably the single biggest reason we may not make the playoffs this year.
