It's amazing how easily Marty Havlat takes the middle of the ice in the offensive zone
He was the best player on the ice tonight. Things have completely changed since he came back and solidified the 2nd line. The guy does it in all 3 zones. I'm not gonna bash on Heatley, but Havlat is a WAY better player....Great move...
I don't know about way better player but he's certainly light years better and a better fit for how the Sharks want to play.

I would have agreed with you 2-3 years ago Cmon. Hell, Havlat wasn't even in the same sentence as Heatley. Something happened to Heatley though. I don't know whether his lack of speed is catching up with him, his unwillingness to change his game or an undisclosed injury that's been hampering him. Whatever it is though, he's now just a PP extraordinaire. Keep in mind this guy has ALWAYS had superstar linemates (besides ATL) as well. In my humble opinion, not only is Havlat a better fit for the Sharks (and their style of play), but he's also been a better all-around player the last 2 or so years.
Since 2006:
2006-2007: 82GP - 50G - 55A - 105P
2007-2008: 71GP - 41G - 41A - 82P
2008-2009: 82GP - 39G - 33A - 72P
2009-2010: 82GP - 39G - 43A - 82P
2010-2011: 80GP - 26G - 38A - 64P
During those years, his linemates for the majority of the time have been Jason Spezza, Daniel Alfredsson, Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton.
I agree that Havlat has been and is the better all around player without a doubt but to say he's a far better player than Heatley is a streatch IMO.

I don't put much stock into Heatley's numbers from last year as he played a significant portion of the year with a broken hand. That's going to affect anyones ability to score goals or exicute passes. Heatley was never a good skater and has lost even more of his legs. That said he is still a very good goal scorer and a tremendously underrated playmaker. In a year where he can stay healthy would still expect him to put up 70-80 points.
To me the biggest difference between the two, and why I believe Havlat to be a better fit for the Sharks, is Heatley needs someone else to make plays for him to be fully effective where as Havlat has the ability to make the plays and carry a line by himself.
