Yeah, the first goal was on him, I thought.

He had about 2 years to slide over (which he did) but his glove wasn't even close to being up high to have a chance at that shot...

Ya, I remember in the pre-season when Shark fans were laughing at Wild fans because they got Burns....

We could have told you he sucked on defense...great offensive set, but always good for NOT being in the right position, and coughing up the puck in his own zone.

Actually i think myself and one other sharks fan on this board questioned his defense after the trade. But more then one person here said it was atleast adaquette. It clearly isnt lol

He has the skating ability to be better but i dont know if he has the mental horsepower to be better

And that's the thing really....Minnesota's defensive schemes were not complicated at all, yet he didn't grasp it. I realize many puck moving offensive defensemen can be liabilities in their own zone at times, but this guy almost gives away as much as he provides
Net gain = zero..give or take.

Danny Boyle needs to be coming through the zone with some speed to really be effective...he's not so great standing waiting for a shot.

Boyle is a much better slashing defensemen on his offensive chances then a onetimer type guy he is also better shooting from the left side .

But you should have seen that coming just by what was going on ice level...not always about the score.

A good 1-0, 2-1 game can be quite good if you pay attention to individual plays, players, and situations.

I called for a 5-1 NJ blowout in a pregame thread somewhere else on here..and the Sharkies are not making me look good for that now....it is a game.
