We'll never know unless the coach says who but in situations like this especially I tend to lean on the WR running the wrong route especially considering it's a WR that didn't have any preseason and training camp time and in general the the QB knows the offense better than WR do.

I agree. I think Crabs ran the right route according to the defense. Smith read it wrong
