Well here we go it's Opening Day with Bumgarner on the mound. Would be nice to get off to a good start in Arizona tonight. The Giants usually hit well in Arizona especially the Panda who is my pick to click in Game 1.

Cheers to all you Giants fans as baseball our good friend is back.

The usual rule is: don't start the GDT if you don't have the lineup. But, I quibble.

Pagan CF
Belt 1B
Sandoval 3B
Posey C
Pence RF
Morse LF
Crawford SS
Arias 2B
Bumgarner LHP

4-1 good guys. Panda and Buster rake.

Giants hitters need to move up in the batters box against McCarthy. You have to get these sinker ball pitchers up in the box before the big break downward. You have to make adjustments during the game. I hope they do it quick.

Good defense by Pence with the hose to Sandoval at third. A good sign to start this season.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Monday that Marco Scutaro (back) is "still a ways away."
Scutaro appeared in only one Cactus League game this spring due to ongoing issues with his back. He remains in extended spring training and doesn't appear close to being game-ready. The Giants are going with Joaquin Arias at second base while Scutaro is out
