The fans don't like Jim Thornton in St. Louis much, eh?

Someone elses turn for the GDT's

Ironically, one of those fat ladies in the GDT will be singing when the lights go out for the Sharks in spring, as usual. The Sharks under DW's reign will go down as one of the biggest wastes of talent in NHL history. Nothing will change until the organizational flaw that is the front office is shaken up.

One bummer about this team (since TMac first took over) is that they've gotten more and more boring to watch. I remember being SOOO excited watching games in McLellan's first year. I don't know what's happened since then, but it takes a team like Dallas to even bring any motivation or energy to a game. :(

This may be the most boring Sharks team ever. And tonight the most boring lifeless game I have seen in awhile. Even the bad/average teams were more fun than this. You could at least get a Link Gaetz bout, an Andre Nazarov head butt, or Owen Nolan running the goalie. Man, this team has no pulse right now. Yeah that first TMac team, they started something like 28-3 that year. That was an amazing start.

Missed this one, and that sounds like a good thing. Can't really add anything that everyone else hasn't said. Chalk up yet another game the Sharks didn't care to play in. An all too common theme this year, but it's not surprising. We've seen this from the Sharks for years now.

I think I'm going to willingly skip tomorrow's game. There's better things to do than watch the Sharks get destroyed by Chicago.

Yeah, me too... that's going to be a bloodbath of epic proportions. No interest in tuning in for that one whatsoever.

Just got home from work, sounded like a frustrating game. I know this is stupid question and the goose egg should probably answer it, BUT, did they at least play with some urgency? Was there effort? Was there hitting?

McGinn had a great hit, and everything else isn't worth typing about. One of the worst efforts that I can remember.

And that's what pisses me off the most about this team. When you question if the guys on your team give a flying fuck about being a champion, you question whether or not you should even be rooting for them. The 2011-2012 squad just like every squad that has been led by Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau, they just don't have "it". And I think we all know what "it" is...it is effort, urgency, balls, drive, tenacity. This team lacks all of that. I'm tired of watching Marleau and Thornton skating around because they are just happy to be here. On top of that, we traded three first rounders for a guy whose focus seems to be more on snakes than winning the Stanley Cup. Seriously, does Brent Burns' personality and interests bother anybody else? It seems like he treats hockey as a job that just enables him to indulge in all of his off ice interests. I swear if somebody offered this clown a rare, majestic snake that nobody else owns and gave him the choice of the snake or the Stanley Cup, I bet he chooses the snake. I know I sound ridiculous but I am so FUCKING SICK and TIRED or hearing about this guy's snake obsession. I want to hear about his STANLEY CUP obsession, I want to hear about how he would do anything to win the STANLEY CUP. I do not give a FUCK about how many snakes he owns but I guarantee you that he owns more snakes than he does points this season. And speaking of points, Martin Havlat has one goal? I am not torn up over trading Heatley and I don't think Havlat has been playing terribly but having one goal in 22 games is absolutely pathetic. This guy has to start putting the puck in the back of the net if we have any hope of getting to the Western Conference Finals, where will we obviously get run through by a team that has more skill and most importantly more heart and drive than we do. So what grade do I give Doug Wilson for his off-season trades so far? Let's see, between Snake-man, 1 goal, and Sheppard who blew out his knee on an ATV, I gotta give him an F-.

Never in my 8 years of watching the sharks have I seen them look this bad. It seemed like ever since they got knocked out by Edmonton in the playoffs everything went down hill.

There are so many different things this year that I'm not used to seeing. Broken defensive coverage, there's way too many 2 on 1's and someone slips or trips and it leads to a scoring chance about 3-4(at least) times a game??. WTF is with the lazy passes? Do they think they are hot shit? Fucking hell they don't even deserve to be in the playoffs the way they are playing this year. And this team used to thrive on puck possession. It's painful to watch almost every team carry the puck more than the sharks in a game.

Why does Boyle all the sudden suck, why's Brent Burns playing so much worse than when he played for Minnesota?? We just inked Hanzus and are one of the best teams on paper but our PK is worst in the league????? The whole team is playing poorly game after game. The only thing causing this is the coaching and Patrick Marleaus poor work ethic does not help either. I'm going to throw a party when I hear TMac got fired, free alcohol on me.
