Irwin, not ready for prime time player. Didn't he get burned twice like that last night? I believe on the earlier power play he did the same thing, and Niemi stopped the Erat breakaway...just barely.

Anyways as bad as the Sharks are, they are even with St. Louis (Stanley Cup favorite), ahead of LA (Stanley Cup champion)...so they aren't the only ones playing not up to expectations. If they play more like they did last night, they will have more success. Problem is they have laziness inbred in them :(

Irwin has certainly made a lot more rookie mistakes in his last two games than he was making at the start of the year.

They played much better for the first two periods but returned to the familliar garbage we've been seeing in the third. Most likely it stemmed from McLellan going with his pattented "no win" defensive scheme to try and protect the lead.

Everytime they win I just wish it wouldve been a loss... Stack them losses towards the 31 pick... I really doubt any of us here would be mad that they didnt makethe playoffs and won the lottery... We all know IF the ever make the playoffs they wont accomplish shit, so I just want them to completely blow the rest of the season... I know im not a minority in thinking this...

I admit I don't mind them loosing this year as much as previous years for a couple reasons. IMO they need a new voice leading the lockerroom and new offensive ideas behind the bench. Loosing is the only way that change is going to be made.

Also, if they are going to revamp through the draft this is the year to do it. There are 40-50 players who have a legitimate chance of being 1st round picks and there are 10-15 who have elite (top pairing dman, 1st line forward) potential. Only way Wilson is going to accumulate picks is to be a seller and for the Sharks to be sellers it means loosing.

Niemi #4 in GAA at 1.83, and #3 in SV % at .934, wow, considering how bad we have been for a month those numbers blow me away. If we had any offense we would be way up in the standings.

Yeah, Niemi and the D have been outstanding. With even a mediocre output from the offense, they'd be one of the top teams in the league.

It is amazing what Jim Johnson and Robinson have done for this team. They have fixed the PK and team defense to the point they are top 5 in the NHL.

Makes me want to kick Yawney and Shaw in the nuts.

Or a coach that gets the most out of the talent he has. Tadd's system isn't working. :2cents:

Jim Wiley can probably get more outa this team then Todd... Id go as far as saying proping up a parking cone up with a clip board leaned against it would make the players produce more...
