Someone needs to tell the coaching staff you don't split up your most effective line. McGinn - Handzus - Mitchell were controling the play every shift and they split them up?

The Sharks flat weren't ready for this one. Can't go down into Anaheim and expect to win playing like this. The Sharks have stopped themselves far worse than anything Anaheim has done.

Marleau has had nothing in the tank this game. He's clearly still suffering the after affects of whatever flu he had.

With the exceptions of Greiss, McGinn, and Handzus that was a pathetic effort.

Well at least the Sharks let us know early that this is the same team of the last 2, 3, 5, 7, 10 whatever years. The regular season should be fun, at least.

Lol wait until havlat returns before you get your panties in a wad over te 3rd line. Hadzus is good for 15g and 30pnts.

Havlat's return will help alot, and that whats I wrote before. He could make a huge difference. As of right now, they have 5 legit NHL forward threats in the whole lineup. If teams can shut down line 1.5, then no one else is gunna score. It's no biggy. It's like last summer when it was clearly the D that was weak, we all know that the weakness of the team is the scoring depth on the 3rd line, but the good news is that its much easier to acquire a couple 20 goal scorers for the 3rd line compared to a #1 dman.

I was a little disappointed with all the shots that boyler got block late in the game. Be nice to see him go a bit lateral to get a lane. Vlasic too is showing that he is the same offensive black hole that he;'s been for the last 3+ years. Not sure why anyone would think he will suddenly learn the game in that half of the ice.

On the bright side, I like our D alot and maybe with havlat back in, it could be good. The depth is great and I think they should be OK in their own zone as well as contributing offensively. This team is built very well and by february, it will be real good.

Also nice to see griess be great. He is so incredibly aggressive but with the D used to nemo, they can handle his style of game...

Interesting stat:

Dan Boyle TOI: 27:28. total shifts 29
Brent Burns TOI: 20:53. total shifts 28.

Burns has 1 fewer shifts but 6 1/2 fewer mins of ice time. Seems that boyler has got to play smarter shifts cuz nearly a minute average per shift is horrible. He looked real bad late in the game and I think his long shifts is why. Hopefully Boyle remembers that he's an old man and needs to make shifts shorter not longer.

Burns is a defensive liabilty as is white. Thats why his numbers are so high

Pathetic half-assed garbage out there. Fire them all! LOL

I'm going to try to forget I wasted a couple hours watching it all.

They'll just blame the 5 days off, I assume... :L

From DP:

Word from Anaheim is Jason Blake suffered tendon damage when cut by Brent Burns skate. Surgery is Monday and he'll probably miss 3 months.

Wow, that sucks.

From Burns:

Tough news today about Jason Blake, guy has been through a lot and is a warrior. Hate to be a part of him missing more, hope he's back soon
