After this win I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this schizo team gets its shit together and breaks the Hawks streak in regulation on Friday. Then after that of course they will start thinking they are God's Gift to Hockey and start tearing it up and getting back to their overconfident winning phase again. Then after that of course comes the playoffs where they meet a rude awakening lol.

Projected lines supposedly:

Marleau-Thornton-Pavelski
Clowe-Couture-Havlat
Kennedy-Handzus-Wingels
Pelech-Desjardins-Burish

Basically, what the lines should have been* for every single games this season, from start to finish of every fucking game.

*= except for Pelech/Burish. That 4th line is an abomination regardless who you put on there. Gomez should probably play over Pelech and it'd be perfect. And Burish is still garbage but Galiardi is worse. Or equally terribad.

If the lines stay like that, I wouldn't be surprised if they won tonight.

Yeah, I didn't pay very close attention so I'm not sure how long he stuck to the lines but they seemed to be that way most of the game, IIRC.

What they need to immediately fix is the God-awful PP. They should have just declined every single PP they got instead of embarrassing themselves the way they did.

The way things are now, they couldn't score on a PP even if the opposing team didn't have a goalie in net. They are completely lost out there and nobody seems to know WTF they're supposed to do.

Gomez is being horribly misused IMO i dont know what the hell Toad is thinking on that one. But hes being wasted sitting on the press box. I like Desi on the 4th line havent seen Pelech play and i like burish.

The pp didn't convert but looked better this game. McLellan stuck with the same lines all game except for when Wingels was in the box for fighting.

Pelech is an AHL goon nothing more. He doesn't belong on an NHL roster. I wish McLellan would give up on Handzus on that 3rd line. A 4th of Desi-Zeus-Burish would be a pain to play against and could log quality minutes for a 4th line. Once he's healthy I'd like to see Sheppard moved back to his natural center spot and given a chance between Kennedy and Wingels.

personally, I think kennedy should be will jumbo and patty for a while. The reason? he works hard. he gets beat up in front, pays the price, and works his tail off despite being just mite sized. Jumbo and patty can learn from this guy given how effective they can be setting screens in front and banging home rebounds given their size.
