He was one of the guys I was touting as a surprise pick for the Skins at 17. Just horendous timing.
Watch for Adoree Jackson to go higher because of this. He's now arguably the top play-making CB in the draft.
I can see this PC world today. Accusations happen the day after the draft and a first rounder is cut prior to signing because of an accusation.
You are 100% right .There is the whole presumption of innocence that appears to be factor not considered in these matters. Maybe this is old school thinking and I'm just not up to speed with what seems to be conviction or near conviction by charge, report and a willingness to believe the worst in people.
Right now, to me, the charge proves nothing, the report is mere titillation, and this player has done nothing until proved otherwise. So why should he be dropping again?
Presumption of innocence is only in court.
You're right, in fact even then, in front of a jury of his peers!
We the people of the land called Pass Judgement are forever grateful to the good people of the planet Benefit of doubt, without whom our court system would become meaningless.![]()
At the risk of kicking off a massive social debate...
Assumed Guilt and having to prove innocence beyond a doubt, people might be a tad more conscious of their action BEFORE they take them.
BUt we can save that for the off season debatathon.![]()
It can wait.... besides I've got a feeling that this board is going to get lit up in a day or so. We've gotta save some energy for that!
