I'm confused. Fisher uses the timeout to avoid the 10 second run off and get Long back in there only to run twice and give up? Why bother?
There used to be an automatic deduction of a timeout if you had a player go down inside the 2-minute warning. I assume there still is. Normally an injured player has to sit out a play but since we were being forced to use a timeout the refs kindly pointed out to Fisher that Long could come back in. I don't think we could have had a 10-second run-off. It we could we would have taken it.I'm confused.
