I don't really want to talk about this game anymore. I am ready to move on, forget we all know the ending and the ups and downs of this one.

Carry on!

in cold weather I think it was dumb but, hey its transition year anyways.

Kubiak was right in going for it. If we punted the best you could hope for is a tie and we are 1.5 games behind raiders. I am not sure they lose going forward so we needed to stay behind them and for the raiders loss at the end of the year.

I would be interested in what play he is referring to. Maybe the fourth and short we punted on? (Not entirely sure that was this game, I watched A LOT of football this weekend)

Am I the only one who thinks Kubes was a fool for sending McManus out? He didn't specifically cite that decision, but owned up and admitted the "loss was on him". I don't care if the conditions were perfect for attempting that kick, we should've punted and gone for the tie. I'd much rather be 7-3-1 and tied with KC. The Raiders have been so disgustingly lucky with some of their wins, that I could see them losing 2-3 of their last games, especially with 3 of them coming against division rivals.

As big a leg as McManus has, I'd have rather seen them go for it on 4th and 10 if we weren't going to punt. You can't put KC on our side of the field there with the defense reeling that late in the game. Then Santos of course has to bank the stupid game winner in, as if we hadn't suffered enough up to that point.

We would be 2 games back with a tie and the raiders holding the tie-breakers. Had we made it that means the win and looking at being 1 game back. He was playing for the win. I can get behind that.

With as bad as the o-line is, this is not our year. The defense falling apart is a worrisome.

I dunno why but for some reason I liked the attempted 62 yard FG.. I mean, now that he missed I don't, but at the time I did. "You play to win the game", I don't know-- I am glad I wasn't the one that had to make that decision.

I get going for the win, but not from 62 yards. At that point you know the Raiders have stretched their division lead earlier in the day, and you have to do whatever it takes to stay even with KC. I know there are still 5 games left, but unless we win in KC or the Raiders choke incredibly down the stretch, there is a real chance we won't even make the playoffs.

The O-line is crap. I can't believe how pitiful they looked last night. It was embarrassing.

Why on 4th and 9 is Roby playing beyond the sticks and gives up 10 yards?

I thought about that last night as I cried myself to sleep. Can't decide if the broncos took that big of a step back or if the division took a big step forward.

Yeah that's the play but my " buzz " and irritation lead to being too melodramatic about that kick. The only thing that makes any sense to me on that decision is Kubes must of got team together after those ties earlier in season and asked them what they thought about taking a tie over a loss in a situation that, and even though odds are strongly against you converting play to win game, they told him let's go for it over a tie or loss. Only thing that makes sense. Plus the fact he knows this O line and running game will never get this team past AFCCG and more than likely sooner than that. This season was repeat or bust, obviously, and I think the writing is on the wall now as to which scenario is most likely now and how this team looks at this point in season. Oh well, never say never I guess.:)

PS. Great Game though and Chris Collingsworth needs to be banned from all Denver games. He just can't be unbiased and professional enough to call game without showing his detest for Denver. :)

My general opinion is: going for it > FG > Punt.

I think the Broncos should have always been in a 4 down mindset with Gaines getting torched so badly and both Ds being tired. The AFC is too competitive for a tie and there is way too big of an advantage in getting a top 2 seed with the bye week.

The FG wasn't a terrible idea on paper. 62 in Denver sounds good on paper but people who say that are people who have likely never kicked a FG in a super clutch situation. KCs kicker is just about as good as it gets and hit a 50/50 shank on a chip shot. I don't think a good coach ever puts a FG kicker in a place to win or lose a game unless there is no other option. Thats a Marty Schottenheimer cautionary tale.

with so many picks and locking up stewart and needing instant impact, we should look to move for joe staley or joe thomas in the offseason. Both the Browns and 49ers are dumpster fires and would gladly acquire more draft capital me thinks.

With so many picks in next year's draft and both Cleveland and San Francisco both being dumpster fires, Denver should re-evaluate if we should bring in Joe (thomas or staley) both would be instant upgrades to the oline and fits at LT. I can't imagine a 2017 2nd and 3rd plus a comp pick in 2018 (based on performance of player or team) wouldn't get it done. That would still leave Denver with a first, two thirds, two fourths, a 6th, and 2 7ths this draft and would solidify LT. Then we could focus the draft and FA on figuring out RT and LG. My dream scenario would be

LT- thomas/staley
LG- stephenson (if we keep him... i really think he could be a good guard)
c- paradis
rg- schofield
rt- bolles (first round pick)

That would be a top 10-15 offensive line at least and we still would have plenty of picks to add depth and developmental players to offense and defense

Just tossing this out there, but because Dixon had done it with some success in college, what about a fake punt w/ Dixon going for the first down instead of the 62 yd FG attempt ??

Actually the one positive I got was when Siemian's back was against the wall, he went for it. He made some great, great plays. And, he showed that he indeed does have a little touch on the long balls. My main gripe with the coaching is they are too conservative when they should not be, the defensive players weren't calling for 3 man rushes. You give Smith all day and he will pick apart a zone defense. Especially when they are playing prevent

My boy Roby needs to see a sports psychologist. He is in a funk. He looked great up until Talib's second game out. Now he looks petrified out there, no confidence, nothing. Not good
