Game Review without watching

The defense did their job. As a matter of fact, they were obviously better than they should have needed to be. They gave up 17 points and just over 300 yards total offense...correction...they gave up 10 points because of another blocked kick. They even forced a turnover but our offense turned it over twice. Good job defense.

The STs improved on the return side of the world. We actually didn't give up a return touchdown and even had equal or better averages than the other team in the return game.

On the other side of the world, we may have gotten worse at getting off punts and FGs. WTF? We got a punt blocked and returned for a TD and an extra point blocked. I am willing to bet we were the only team to miss an extra point in week one.

Offense. Six points? Six freaking point? How pathetic is that? I will stick with what I said...if the defense holds them under 21 points, it's on RG3 if we don't win. I also said he would fumble at least twice...he did.

I realize the OL obviously got beat a lot and that goes to the HC as well. RG3 brought this change upon himself with his antics. Now deal with it. 14 QB hits? Seriously coach...ever made an adjustment?

On the bright side, I knew the Houston defense would be much much better and that is why they are my fantasy defense. There is room for growth and still hope. If we lose to JAX...hope is gone.

Seriously. The stats in this game were way misleading. The offense actually moved the ball up and down the field in the second half. But when you cough it up twice inside the 10, that's how you only score 6 points.

exactly, the offense wasn't as pathetic as the score shows. the run game was good, rg3 was taking what the defense gave him which was short passes. he wasn't trying to do too much. he didn't throw a pick. the offense moved the ball. we lost because of two fumbles and a blocked punt and PAT. there are a lot of positives to take from this game.
im not saying our offense was good. but no one should think holy shit our offense sucks and we are doomed. if rg3, gruden and mcvay can mask some o line difficulties and we can take care of the ball better and not shoot ourselves in the foot, we can start to get some wins.
at least no one is calling for cousins right now. you know why? because rg3 is showing improvement and not trying to be superman.

I'm a little bit upset with Rambo too after this....
Rambo on surrendering 76-yard touchdown: ?I didn?t see him get free?

The defense was good, have to remember the Houston QB is garbage though.
TO's and once again poor special teams cost us.
I'm happy with our run game, and RGIII actually making a few adjustments at the line. The WR's came back to the ball preventing him from getting killed too too much on scrambles

RG3 ran a coach out of town and got another that didn't protect him and didn't make a damn adjustment.

As you know, I'm no RG3 apologist, but he had less to do for that loss than you did. He played well given the circumstances.

j_y... Griffin was average. Some of us expect more from a franchise QB. He wasnt the reason we lost, but if he continues to play like this we also wont win many games.

he improved from preseason and last season. he will continue to get better and better over the year and our offense will be dangerous. shark, gk, and skinsdad all thought he would suck balls this game. he didnt, he showed progress and you guys still wont give him one sentence of praise, besides skinsdad that is.

Martinez.... maybe because I have seen this movie before. I hear alot of the same excuses for Griffin that I heard for Campbell... only amplified. He was drafted as a franchise QB. Many have proclaimed him a franchise QB. So why shouldnt we expect franchise QB production??

I'll take average right now while he's learning. I know you won't. You expect him to be the re-incarnation of YA Title because we paid so much for him. I'm past what we paid......spent money.

Bottom line is the Offense played well enough to win that game.

Progress is measured by wins. IM looking for progress, you are making excuses.

its not as black and white is that. we drove the ball down the field, the defense looked good. rg3 is showing progress, sorry for using that word so much.
now if the defense sucked and rg3 looked bad id be right there with u but i could see some positive things we did in that game. plus its only week one and you and gk are talking about 0-6 starts.
