I'm confused, is this The Game Of Thrones Thread or the Lost thread?
Well I tried to get into Lost.
But it lost me.

I didn't make it up. The show's writing apparently convinced millions of people of that. A magical island that can't be found, where the characters of conflicting morality go through an adventure to be later judged and appropriately move onto their eternal fate... sounds like... what? You made up the whole island was purgatory thing. That did not happen.
I said it from the first binge of five episodes: Lost is Purgatory.
A number of them got off the island and interacted with people. I don't know what to tell you because it wasn't confusing.I didn't make it up. Stick to Game of Thrones. It combined good acting, direction and writing (Seasons 1-6 anyway) and didn't wussy out on its ending. There is a lot more goodwill for a GoT prequel/sequel happening than even a LOST remake.
You win. Awesome show. Walt's fate is clear. Etc.A number of them got off the island and interacted with people. I don't know what to tell you because it wasn't confusing.
You know you lost the argument when you throw these strawman arguments at me that have nothing to do with what we are talking about. As I already said, just because I'm correcting something you completely misinterpreted doesn't mean it was a perfect show. It can have flaws and not be purgatory believe it or not.You win. Awesome show. Walt's fate is clear. Etc.
Plus them managing to make you feel sad for the dragon trying to wake up Dany.
I have a hard time believing anyone actually thinks the petition will do anything. It’s just people voicing their displeasure with a show they invested 78 hours of their life to.Someone petitioning to get an ending changed is a much bigger nerd than I could ever be.
"We demand you spend millions of dollars redoing the ending or........oh that's right we don't have shit to hold over anyone"
LOST painted itself into a corner by blatantly lying to its viewers. "No, it's not Purgatory!" they told fans early on. Several style-but-no-substance episodes later, in the finale, the big reveal is yeah, it's been Purgatory all along. About the only worse way to treat your fans is the St. Elsewhere / Life on Mars ending, where the show admits that everything you just saw was a fake plot line in the mind of an autistic / computer.
